I am seeing the Portland real estate market cool down a bit after a frenetic summer in which we saw well priced properties flying off the inventory list within a week of being listed. This report provides an insight into the neighborhoods that are selling HOT right now….nothing new here. Look for the scene in Washington DC to influence the price of purchase money in the next few months. Cash is still king; as always, the sale of homes is dependent on several conditions, the most important one being the price of borrowing money to purchase a new home. And that, of course, is influenced by you: your credit rating, your debt ratio and employment/income status.
