Sellers:  This is a good time to put your home on the market. Follow direction on pricing and (very important) getting it ready for the market.  Condition, staging, curb appeal are all super important. The closer you are to the inner metro area, the more competitive the market. The best time to put your home on the market is Spring. Be sure to make time to attend to the business of selling your home.

Buyers:  This is a great time to buy! I am telling my own relatives, “Buy now before you are priced out of the market!” Prices are very competitive, but the good news is that interest rates are low and a good lender is going to save you money in the long run. Inventory is very low in the close in neighborhoods, so if you want to buy this year, get revved up and start your search now. As you know, my clients who are ready to buy get top priority in my daily searches. I try to get my buyer clients in to the property before anyone else.

Investors:  This is a great time to invest. People are moving to Portland everyday. Rental property is not abundant. Rents are staying pretty high. If you want to check out the benefits of investing, let me know. Consider this though: the rents are paying your mortgage (or most of it), the property is appreciating. The maintenance and repairs are beneficial on your income taxes as are the fees you pay a good property management company.
